Service advice

Hi all. 2019 Marco Polo with 29,800 on the clock.

Been serviced at all regular intervals but not by Merc. Last main B service was done via an independent.

Due A Service now, which I believe is just an oil service. Merc wanted £220 to service it and a further £100 on top for some filter or other. They were off the phone before I got to clarify what filter they meant.

Would this be pollen filter? I’m seeing conflicting info online.

The car doesn’t have full dealer service history so I guess there’s no point now at year 7 and a local garage I trust are £140 for the oil service. (Service a).

I’ve had the car from 2022 and 6k miles. So it’s always been out of manufacturers warranty but I have always had it properly maintained as per the schedules.

Thanks for that!! I’ll order up a pollen filter and get my trusty local garage to fit it. Looks like a knuckle scratching faff.

I've also stopped using dealers or a registered MB garage, use our local garage now (A village garage, can't be many left!)

Hello. I had a B service back in November.
They are every 2 years
It’s oil, air, fuel and cabin filters replacement.Oil flush. Inspection of brakes, tyres, wipers, lights, test coolant strength .
Top up of add blue, screen wash.
Used a local garage, cost £490, of which parts were £244
