Leisure battery

As a general rule if it’s needed to drive the van it’s on the main starter battery. If it’s needed to live in the van it’s off the leisure battery.

  • Interior camper lighting (living area and roof lights)
  • Pop-top roof operation
  • Roof-bed lighting
  • Kitchen unit control panel/display
  • Compressor fridge
  • Sink water pump and tap
  • Auxiliary USB charging ports in the camper section
  • Diesel parking heater / auxiliary heater controls and fan
  • 12V sockets in the habitation area
  • Control electronics for the camper conversion
  • Battery monitoring and charging management systems
  • Some ventilation fans
  • Electric coolbox/fridge operation when parked
There’ll probably be exceptions depending on spec of the car but I’d say this a general rule of thumb.
