cabin heater

I'm wondering how you campers control the temperature in the passenger compartment in cold weather. Do you use the heater, or do you have the car plugged into an electrical outlet?. My heater does not keep the compartment temperature comfortable all night. The heater turns off within one hour. (There is no timer set).

Hello SMH, that's weird. I take it we're talking about the factory heater fitted under the passenger seat and controlled by the center console?
Maybe you have a low temperature set?
Does the panel show any error codes when it shuts down the heater?
What year is your van?

Have a look in the search function for 'auxiliary heater'. There are two types of heater on the non MBAC MP's (like my 2018 model); 1. the night heater under the front seat and controlled by the unit in the floor mounted console, 2. the water heater that uses the engine and will run for 45 mins only. The water heater is in V class models and is designed for winter pre heating, not for keeping the cabin warm.
