Winterizing 2017

If you can leave the hook up connected and powered on the vehicle and leisure batteries should stay charged.

It would be worth starting the engine every couple of weeks if you can and running until up to temperature to avoid moisture build-up in the intake manifold.

Make sure the fresh water tank is fully emptied, and sterilise it before you use it again.

Empty fridge, turn off and leave door open.

Make sure the roof canvas is dry.

Anyone else got anything?

Regards, Mat.

Mostly all of the above but for my two penne'orth I would not recommend starting the engine every couple of weeks. Starting is when most wear occures on a cold engine (which is why MB fit the cold water heater to pre warm the engine in cold climates to negate that wear!) and as the engine cools it will activley encourage damp. If its in a heated garage its fine...leave it.
I am also an advocate of smart chargers or tricle chargers if you will, which condition and maintaine your battery. I have them on my classic car (very very old) and on my very very modern motorcycles. They do what it says on the tin.
Our 2019 MP is on orignal batteries still !!
