Storm straps for wind out canopy

Hi, has anyone attached guy ropes or storm straps to the Marco Polo wind out awning? Our awning was a bit damaged in strong winds recently, so I was trying to secure it somehow, but I can't see where you could attach the guy ropes securely to the awning rail. (We have bought the Comfortz side panels for our wind out awning, so we would like to keep the awning room up when it is windy).

The metal clips slide into the groove on the front side of the awning and the straps attach to these. The ground pegs are strong and the springs allow some flex rather than being totally rigid if there is a gust

We have the Thule tie down kit. When it arrived it looked massively over the top but it’s great to use. The top clips into the top of the support legs easily with solid metal bars and the straps are wide and the v pegs enormous. given it’s a huge sail to control I guess they engineered it to cope.

Same here as Tee, the Thule kit seems OTT but works well
