Smartphone Integration Package retrofit on MBUX Marco Polo

Hi there,

California owner here and looking to upgrade to a very nice 300D 4x4 Marco Polo. The car was configured by the dealer, and not by me. The advantage is that is has a nice discount.

The only thing missing is the Smartphone Integration Package. Since I use Android Auto a lot for Waze and Spotify, I was wondering if it's easy to retrofit?

I've got the impression that it's just a software unlock, but I just want to make sure before buying the car.

Why not just bluetooth?

It's mainly for Waze. But I suppose the onboard navigation 's traffic integration is also quite ok?

I've used the standard satnav all over Europe and it's fine.

Did you end up buying the smartphone integration?
I am curious on how good it is? Does all apps work? What's the replicated interface like? Does it use the datconnevtion from the phone with the integrated apps?
