My 4 year old Marco Polo (Vanessa) has been a joy to own having taken it over from my Dad sadly passed. I was cleaning when I found that I couldn't close the sliding drawer directly under the stove

The catch wouldn't spring back up. Having un-screwed and remove it.. the catch is fine. Only when I tighten the screws to a certain tension will I run into the same issue. I will rase this with MB on my overdue service.

Has anyone had the same issue and how did you fix this

I think there are comments in the search function as this has happened before, but I'm sure you can buy new ones

I had this issue. Sand in all the catches. I removed and washed them all with warm water and washing liquid. Let them air dry.
Perfect.

lube makes them worse as causes the grit to stick

Had sand in ours. Removed catches and tapped/blew out. Made sure worked before refitting. the grooves in the door and draws catch grit and if you dust towards the catches it falls in. So sweep the other way now. been ok since

if that fails, check the receiving hole for the bolt is clear.
