In my view, the auxiliary warm air heater is a must. We’ve used ours a lot, even in the spring, and if you don’t intend to keep your mp forever, it will really help with selling it. Although you can use a small electric heater if you are on hook up, it’s lovely to be warm when you come back to the van after a walk to eat your toasties and sit and admire the view.
I test drove the 220 and took it up a long steep hill near to me and whilst it was fine I felt I needed a bit more oomph so I went for the 250 and it is plenty powerful enough to tackle steep hills whilst fully laden. That's for all the responses - it really is a help, particularly as the dealers themselves (at least those that I've spoken to) seem to have quite limited knowledge when it comes to the MP. Last one (for now at least): what about V220 vs V250? Thanks, Paul
With a boat or horses, I would go with the 250d. Otherwise 220d should be more than enough for the majority of us.I went for the 250. Some reports I read said the 220 was underpowered and I may want to use it to tow in the future (if I can ever afford to buy the boat I want!). The 250 has plenty of power though so the 220 is likely to be good too.
Opens the rear right window about 10cm. I never use it but, as you say, no brain if it's free.Does anyone know what the electric rear window option offers please? Is there a disadvantage to having this? It is a no-cost option so on the face of it, it seems a no-brainer.
Thanks!
Ok, thanks. Might be nice to have open at night. I guess nothing is lost in having it, apart from a chrome trim strip, according to the brochure. I am sat outside my local Mercedes dealership, about to order!Opens the rear right window about 10cm. I never use it but, as you say, no brain if it's free.
