Hi there, we recently bought our MP privately. It is in superb condition & we have already taken a couple of 600m trips in the SE.
There are a few issues to fix:
The Campervan 7.5amp fuse blows & getting someone who knows about these vans to look at it isn’t easy.
We’d like to add a small roof based solar panel to feed a modest size portable power station (1Kwh)
A 25/30mm thick 3 section folding bed pad seems like a good way to improve the main bed?
Our stop-start engine function doesn’t work, neither does the feature where pressing extra hard on the brake pedal when stopping should disengage the drive?
Front nearside light causes message sent when engine is started … ‘left side running light failed’, but it hasn’t & the lights work fine. The cost of a new light unit is prohibitive!
The ride is great, it is very stable & a pleasure to drive for hours. 2.2d 160bhp & pulls well … 46mpg on one particular door to door 200mile drive (based on the software totting up the three stages, including two stops).
It is a classy van!

Welcome to the MP club, we’re also in the Southampton (UK) area. Can’t help on the fuse, or indicator issue, but you’re right about finding someone who knows about them - local Mercedes dealer wasn’t much help! Ours had a solar panel when we bought it which worked fine, a Goalzero system (made in US!) until the power station packed up - still trying to get that sorted out as no UK based service centre. Resorted to the EcoFlow we already had. EcoFlow do various panel/battery options as do other manufacturers. The previous owner had a thicker mattress which is great, just a bit bulky but sits on the rear shelf OK. You’re getting better MPG than us, ours is the 2.0 235 BHP version so on a longer journey 40 ish is best and as we sometimes tow a caravan it’s under 30! Very comfortable, easy to drive, genuine feel of quality. We looked at other makes including VW but settled on the MP. Enjoy!

We live nearby and got our MP from the Merc dealer in Salisbury and found them very helpful. Worth a try
