Hi folks, I am seeking some help to decide how much I should sell my MP for. Its a 2019 V220d MP with a 200w solar panel system and a Gybe Bus tent. All the usual extras... but looking at the market I am thinking £58,995? comments welcome please.

Honest reply so please don't take offence.

The bus tent is desirable to some but not all, at the right price it will be easy to sell separately.

I don't know all the details of you MP but I'd say a dealer may be asking that sort of money, but for a private sale its at least 5k over priced.

Caveat: Just my opinion

The big question is how many cash buyers are there for your van?
In order to compete I tend to take a view that if I want to sell a vehicle, I really put my foot down and make it one of the cheapest out there. With that in mind I would probably list at around £55k ish and be prepared to accept a small offer.

Your first offer is likely to be the best offer you get, usually this person is the most motivated and is chasing the right vehicle.

Whatever you do get offered, before you reject anything ask yourself "would I buy it for that?" because by rejecting any offer, you are effectively buying it once again for the price offered.
You can use this method to help arrive at an attractive selling price as well.

There is no harm in going fishing with a price you have arrived at and then reduce your price down in the next couple of weeks or so. Just be careful not to run the summer clock down too far.

In the end you have to make the decision, I hate to think that my personal view (or the view of the people on the forum) looses you a grand or three!!

Good luck with it! :Thumbs up:

A number of points for reference:

I've just taken ownership of a 2019 V250 AMG and Paid £53 950, this was from a Campervan specialist not private.

It has less than 3000mls and the price included a service, maps updated etc by MB before I took delivery, road tax and the fitting of a MiFi unit and aerial. The service was £599 so well over £1000 worth.

I have a bus tent and paid £500

I've been looking for some time and 3 or 4 have been advertised on this forum, I went to view one of them, all were much lower than than the price your contemplating.

As GT said only you can decide so go for the price you think is right.

Hi, I would be potentially be interested in your GYBE bus tent if you do sell it separately.
In terms of price for your van, I am not sure if this helps but we've just bought a 2019 250d with 7000 miles from a dealer for 52K and there were a couple of similar priced vans available at the same time. All of the vans sold really quickly and as there are not many available at the moment you may find someone willing to pay a higher price.

I’ve started to look at used prices myself as it sadly looks like I’ll have to sell my V300d due to a house purchase budget which has ran out of control.

Prices have definitely held well and it’s the best time to sell but that price does seem a bit trumpy. However, the only way to really gauge the market is get it listed and see the response.
