Marco Polo to Horizon...

Hi All
I have had my 2017 MP for 4 years and I'm considering moving down to the Horizon as I rarely use the cooking/storage.
We have a Vanguard tent that houses everything when we camp and just use the MP to sleep in.
Has anyone else done this successfully/regretted it ?

Can't answer your question directly as I still have the same as you. We do use the fridge even when not camping (travelling with food/drink or day trips), and use the gas hob when camping mainly for the kettle but don't use the sink ever. The storage is also useful for food/utensils/clothes, so would miss that. I doubt I would sell my MP and move to a more simple offering, but its what works best for each persons circumstances & activities.

We're happy with the horizon for the extra bedspace. Usually, we eat out on trips anyway, so do not need a sink or cooking, and we have a small portable plugin fridge that sits between the 2 driver and passenger space at the front (photos have been shared here in the forum somewhere)
If in need of shower, we usually visit a local spa or swimming pool to relax before bed...
I hope that helps!

Hi , we’ve used our Horizon for extended trips (90days) over the last 5 years initially had a removable pod (sink & cooker ) but valued the space more so sold it on after 12 months, storage no problem with the two under seat drawers and two Vanessa window bags we much prefer the minimalist approach with less technical glitches likely ultimately its a case of whatever suits your needs we really appreciate the extra space good luck
