High pitch sound when starting engine

Recently there is an intermittent high pitch alarm sound coming from the overhead console when starting the engine. It sounds like it's coming from the controls where the mirror is. It seems to go if we turn the key off then turn it on again with a two-part action with a pause in between. But it sometimes will take multiple attempts. Has anyone had this or has any ideas? Sounds like the alarm I get if the roof is not considered fully closed by the systems.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it's not that. We tried starting the engine with the roof not quite closed, and that alarm went off too.
