When I switch the heated rear screen on in my 2009 MP the yellow LED on the switch flashes a few times and then goes out and the heater remains off. I have checked the fuse, removed the relay (no 9) and tested it on the bench and have checked for open circuit across the heater element, all good. So why does the element not heat up?
