Hi. Three questions please for the wise old MP owners:-
First, I got myself a spare gas bottle, thinking from some earlier posts that it would be a good idea to have 2 like I do in our caravan. Now it just sits in my garage as I can’t find a suitable safe place in the MP to take it with me. So if I run out on holiday I’m no better off! Any ideas?
Second, has anyone found a reasonably accurate way of working out how much gas is left in a bottle? I have seen gadgets advertised that attach on the side of the bottle and allegedly display how much is inside. Has anyone tried them?
Thirdly, I had the MP serviced (it’s a 2019 model 220D) by an excellent independent Mercedes specialist who charged a fraction of the exorbitant price quoted by MB main dealers, but they weren’t qualified to do the habitation/gas check. So I had that done by the reputable firm that I use for my caravan. The only drawback being that they couldn’t complete the Service record in the MP booklet and couldn’t renew the sticker on the tailgate which still says June 2021. So far as I am aware there is no legal requirement to have that sticker. Question - has anyone successfully removed that sticker? If so, what was the trick to getting it off cleanly?
