Hi all - MP 2018 250 AMG 4100 miles - all packed and up on shore peer fudge on full back up Apicool fridge on to.
That Night before elect door snd boot would shut? So Manually did that reboot then worked then … engine on engine cooling fan started then all headlights on!- switched engine on off then. Completely dead no nothing. Key fob, nothing on dash except one little fog light pic? - took key out slammed doors tried lock/ unlock - it started up ok, but the situation was getting worse and a reliability issue arose. Just had time to get batteries off test replace ( ok as I year) but - aux battery not good ? - very unhappy now and confused and reloaded up in my trusty old Landcruiser ( lucky me but not the point) however I do need to get to the bottom of this. Anyone else had anything similar?
Currently all batteries disconnected as the engine fan comes on !

4100 miles is very low! The batteries do suffer when not topped up or used regularly and yours is getting quite old now. Ours is a 2018 model 250 AMG on original batteries, but 60k + miles and used most days, the leisure battery held up well when we were camping this year. Its also now 7 years old so I am expecting to have to change the battery soon

Hi there - sorry 41000 miles not 4100 !
So update on my complete electrical catastrophe…. Eventually it appeared to be the CAM module ( no obvious reason why it failed) but
replaced and touch wood we can start again - seriously think that the technology on all modern vehicles is going to end in tears …. I’m not going to be the only one !!! - Shame they are great vans !

Very similar issue with our 2018. 250 AMG. Loaded ready to go, no start, crazy light flashing, door failures etc. RAC jump stated car and advised return to dealer because he thought battery was good and couldn’t understand start failure.
Service centre baffled but eventually found CAM module faulty and renewed along with new main battery. Car returned with front and rear cameras not working.
Eventually had to renew them - total cost approx £4000!

Hi there - I’m not out of the woods yet! Vehicle returned with new CAM module fitted . … next day door failure/dash lights/engine cooling fan etc .. gone back for more tests
Keep me in touch with your end result, good luck - so anoying these tek problems on these newer vans !!!

This is the third major electrical failure on our MP. Initially the leisure battery and the associated relay failed. It took the service centre some time to fathom out what was wrong but eventually replaced the relay and the batter. When they returned the vehicle the Command system was dead. I believe they damaged this as they bodged about the electrics without knowing what they were doing. Ultimately I negotiated a reduced price for a replacement Command module.
The more recent failure I referred to on my earlier post left them bodging about trying to find the fault and then we hear the CAM module had failed along with three front cameras. I believe they may have caused the damage in both cases.
The final fix of new cameras was done by a different service centre as I have lost faith in the original one.

Mhh I do not blame you, I beleive you could have some come back for your cameras clearly the software they plug in to find the problems has ben proven to cause even more issues than fix.... hence you will see so many newer vehicles on the forecourts now for sale - due to their unreliabily issues!! I think there will be a spike of pre 2017 euro 5 cars purchasres coming to avoid all these unreliabilty issues.
Its a pitty as one buys a good make (MP) with a solid motor ( well proven) so we can tramp about everywhere without worrying... im worried! we go up and down through France regulariliy with dog /furniture/stuff and normally no problems good solid/safe drive but now... confidence weyning? keep in touch. (sorry rant over )
