Electric hookup release

Electric hook up release issues.
Hi all
Am wondering if anyone has had issues releasing the external hookup cable? I am pressing the small blue lever to aid release and the cable remains firmly connected.
How can I fix or release the external power cable?

Yes regularly find it quite tricky to get out.
There’s a knack and sadly I can never remember what it is so end up spending a longtime trying to get it out.

Hi, I’ve had a similar issue before, the connector often gets stuck if the plug is slightly misaligned or if road dust has gotten inside.
To release it, try pushing the cable firmly inward first and only then press the blue lever, this takes the pressure off the locking tab and lets the plug slide out.
You can order mechanisms online and container tracking in real time.
If it keeps sticking, I'd suggest spraying the mechanism with a little dry silicone lubricant or WD40.

Normally you need to press down the small blue release clip on the left side of the plug and at the same time pull really hard on the actual plug. If you find this really hard then you can remove the dust cap on the blue plug for future use. A bit of silicone spray would be a good idea as well.

Had my van now for 7 years and yes it is not the best of designs. Always been problematic. Do what we men do best, fiddle, wiggle and pull hard on it.

Who knew! I thought it was just me. I always forget it its up or down to release and it is tricky. I put the battery on charge a few weeks ago at home and was getting ready to wrestle releasing it and it came straight out - nearly fell over as I pulled quite hard.
