Chairs and table

yes VWs setup is way smarter than MPs but anyone out there found a similar solution to VW ?
I don’t care about the price I just want more space in the trunk for other stuff.

We move the seats forward just enough to stand the chairs up right behind them leaving the space under the bed platform free for 2 Brompton bikes.

Ok good but then you have to move them, if you need the bed ! That could be ok for a day trip but if the car is loaded then it’s not easy to do.

Last summer we spent 3 weeks traveling around France and Spain using this method, we just put the chairs in the front behind seats or left outside at night

Anyone else with other ideas like different (still comfy) chairs and table ?
Or if anyone had something similar to VW fitted to the trunk lid ?
