I know some will sneer at this accessory, I probably would have a few years ago but not only does it make accessing the bed quick, easy and safe, the two or three trips to the loo I now have to make in the night are a less arduous task.





It's quite compact and easy to find a place to stow. Shown here for size comparison, it extends to 2.1m and weighs less than 4.5Kg.
