Biodiesel for 2017 2.2 litre engine

Good day, has anyone experimented running 2017 2.2 diesel engine with 100% biofuel or other option other than petroleum diesel on your Marco Polo?
In Malaysia, petroleum diesel has gone up more than triple its price before the war on Iran.I need to look at other alternatives to keep owning this vehicle.

Thankfully UK diesel prices haven't tripled... I don't know of anyone that has used 100% bio diesel but it would be worth asking on one of thel Mercedes car and van forums - the engine is common to C, E Class and the Vito Vans. From my experience with aviation fuels, the main concern with biofuels is lubricity which can degrade control systems. I suspect that the common rail could be sensitive. You'd also need to make sure that the Cetane rating is sufficient so you may need to use a fuel additive to cover both aspects. Good Luck!
