HERE WE GO AGAIN - BACK TO THE GARDEN
We have just competed 14 days isolation after returning from France.
Because of covid we decided to avoid crowds and delay travel this year until after the French holidays. We were much more self contained than usual giving restaurants a miss and taking pre-prepared meals that could reheated and washed down with wine or a beer after a day’s travel or a long walk.
Public and camp site toilet facilities were generally avoided and the porta-potti, normally an unused insurance in the back, lived under the ottoman in the cabin.
In effect we were our own “bubble”and the MP earned a temporary nickname “BUBBLE 42”.
We have a ski apartment and after we arrived the MP was used more as a day van for long walks in the mountains and for overnights further afield.
Sadly this year we missed the Tour de France but visited the nearby mountain passes of Galibier and Izoard that it normally passes through and where we have cycled on lung busting rides in earlier years.
The snow had come early. It was too cold for bikes (for us) but we enjoyed some great walks instead.
We are going into lockdown, yet again.
Our trip to Scotland has been cancelled and the MP is now SORNed but still available for camping in the garden if it ever stops raining.
I have posted some pictures as a reminder of normal life. Perhaps others will do the same to cheer us up
Stay safe everyone.
