Awning Recommendation

Hello. We have recently purchased a 2018 Marco Polo and are looking for a recommended awning. We are travelling as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 young children. We want something easy and fast to put up and ideally that we can leave up when we go out for the day. Thank you!

We have a Kampa Motion Air inflatable driveaway awning. It goes up quickly because it just needs two main arched beams pumping up then a smaller cross beam between those two. The pegging down takes a bit longer but it’s up in 15-20 minutes. There are various sizes of Kampa awnings and other brands. You can get inner tents to use a separate bedroom. It was very handy when staying for a couple of weeks on a site.

We don’t use it now because our children have grown up so we’re going to sell it

I use a 3m square gazebo. Some awning brackets raise the hight of the vehicle to over 2.1. Most carport barriers are 2m. Not only that but they weigh a ton and whistle in the wind, plus you can not use them when it is windy. Waste of time if you ask me.

We have a Vango Air awning, ours is only small as there is only 2 of us. You can get them in various sizes and take about 15mins from start to finish. They are small and compact and stow really easy. Just double check that it is a drive away awning. Happy camping.

Hi….we have a kampa crossair driveway awning allowing you to detach and leave it standing and just re attach when you get back with an additional sleeping pod side extension that easily sleeps two which allows for large living area we have table and chairs in there and eat in there rather than in the van and with hook up use microwave for cooking in there too. It goes up very quickly using the pump supplied and is then pegged out. It has with stood many strong gale winds so would recommend.
