Auxiliary battery recharging

We have a problem with our auxiliary battery which is not recharging during a drive. It means we are struggling to elevate our roof and flatten the seats at the back. Is there a simple trick to flick a switch so that the running engine can recharge the auxiliary battery whilst we are driving. Thanks Ben and Ailsa

I’m no expert in things electrical but the recommendation is to recharge by plugging into the mains at least once a month.This suggests to me that driving on its own is not sufficient to maintain its charge.
It may be that if you have not been doing so the battery may have been damaged.
If it’s under warranty I would be claiming from MB. My experience is that they are so dim witted with all things Marco Polo they’ll just replace the battery.
