New roof

We've just had our 2 year old MP returned from the dealer in Basingstoke with a brand new roof after discovering blisters.
It took around 6 months from first notifying the dealer but I believe the delay was down to Mercedes not the dealer.

How long did they have the vehicle for? I assume they got a roof and had it painted elsewhere so maybe just in for fitting?

Steve, it was in for about 4 weeks but that included the Christmas period and they had the roof painted once they had our van. Terry

Seems odd that they didn't get it painted up then just have your van in for a couple of days to swap over

I've just had my roof replaced it took 5 days from drop off to collection, I've inspected the replacement and it seems to be good as new, it was taken to the dealer previously and they repainted it which took two weeks I wasn't happy with the repaint and insisted on a new roof which finally is complete

That sounds fair. Also, you were right, repainting is not the solution; this is not a paint defect but a defect within the glass fibre. Replacement is the only solution and even then, assumes that the replacement roof does not have the issue.
Glad you got it resolved
