Total Electrics Failure

We are currently in Angouleme and our V250D is at a MB garage. We suffered a total collapse of the electrics, the engine keep going but no dashboard working except an error message for high beam assist, no indicators probably brake lights, side door jammed etc. headlights unable to be switched off.
as if metaphorically struck by lightening!

The garage is waiting for a 40? Ohm resistor which has blown’ before they can do anything more testing.
The AA European breakdown are on the case but at the moment and we are looking at returning to the UK without the MP

Any thoughts, has this been a known issue??

Total sympathy.. check the cam bus modules ( known fault) then software reboot - I had a similar problem in uk … but total weird electrical issues fan/doors/messages/… engine ran ! Sorry can’t help more it’s way above my understanding!!

Thanks for your post Crispin. I too am at a loss with complicated MP electrics.
All is solved now thanks after a whole pile of money for new batteries (why) and replacement fuse (heavy duty) and box plus over a week without the van.
We are now back on track on on the ferry to Uk tonight.

What a relief hopefully trouble free now - just in way back Tuscany/france/uk been good so far
