Awning - Internal leg retaining clips

I have noticed that over time the clips lose their grip on the legs sometimes causing the legs to fall down when the awning is wound out.
This creates potential to damage the paintwork on the side of the van !

This is probably due to the aging and deterioration of the strength characteristics of the plastic clips I guess (2018 Model)
I am thinking of how to prevent the leg fall down, in the meantime I take great care when opening the awning

I may try and replace the clips for new ones or attach some Velcro strip arrangement to sort this in the meantime

Anybody else have this problem/solution ?

Hard to describe but the feet when they are in the up position kind of tuck into a latch type thing, are you perhaps just putting the legs back with out securing the feet?

If not perhaps there’s a way of tightening up your “lugs”/ latch or whatever they are called?
