Currently in Lake Lucerne Switzerland followed by Lake Como, same issue which is slightly annoying when all camping kit is in the rear...

So where’s the pump physically located? How do i take it all out and soak it?

Could well be the pump, normally due to calcium build up. Soak it in an anti-calcium product over night then run some clear water...
