Westfalia roof issues - recommended services?

Hi folks

Last time I was out in my MP 2018 I was lowering the roof and it made a noise then lowered asymmetrically (with a stuck driver's side). Nothing worked. Performed the emergency actions. Same results. Called MB support who sent a chap out who had no idea. Between us, with a bit of muscle, we managed to lower the roof and so I was able to drive home.

I've been a bit afraid about trying it since but summoned the courage today. It goes up and down but like other reports from the forum now says it is still open with the intermittent alarm.
I live in south Manchester. Can anybody recommend somewhere to take my vehicle for them to look at the roof system? I have little faith in MB following a few calls I have had with them.

The Issue with controller probably. I have the same stiry. I already checked all wiring, microswitches and actuators - all are good. I removed controller and sent to electronic repair workshop. They ‘ve noticed some connectivity problems with one of EPROMS (fix it) and now i can open and close the roof but MBAC still shows the roof is open.. That’s the issue of another eprom, which is probably burned (looks like) and we are looking now for replacement which is not so easy. only way to solve this case is electronic repair workshop. - MB Dealers are only able exchange steering controller - not repair it inside. Bad news is that controller is currently not available to order in MB :-( - I was trying order directly from Westfalia but no response from their side. - when started digging internet to find info how to solve the case. I found plenty of MP Owners facing same trouble. Probably Westfalia subcontractor is trying design next version of controller which will address this issue. Hope help, Regards Tom
