Hi all,
I use my 2004 Viano Marco polo not only for camping but as a daily driver. I purchased a Thule Omnistor awning so I could easily remove it. I didn't want a awning bolted to the roof.
One main issue was clearance from the slide and passenger door.
To solve this I purchased a drive away kit and designed SS lifting arms (I use 3) and it works like a charm. I can keep the awning on and have traveled down the German autobahn at 150KM without any issues.
