Suspension upgrade

Hi all

Anyone upgarded their suspension? Especially interested in upgrading to air suspension - ride difference/who/cost etc. Seems to be companies in Germany who do this but struggling to see many in the UK. Our rear bump stops have taken a hammering last year and either upgraded springs, air bags or a full air suspension kit will be the answer. I have not talked to our local MB dealer yet but I have assumed they will only fit standard set up and therefore no improvement.

Don't intend doing anything with the suspension as is seems OK with the weight we are carrying. Watch out for your alloy's though, we've had two cracked in the past two years. Got them repaired but if we need a new one and ebay can't provide, there £1500 ish each! I think steel wheels now sound a good option.

Our MP came with the optional sport suspension (supposedly slightly lower and stiffer) and we were bottoming too frequently. We also had to replace cracked rear bump stops.
We've just replaced our springs with reinforced MAD springs ( https://mad-suspensionsystems.com/en/products/reinforced-main-springs/ ) and the difference is massive. The van no longer seems to float on linked tight turns, and I don't think we've hit our bump stops again.
