Special gas regulator washer

Hi all
I picked up a MP recently and on first use of the gas could smell the dreaded odour of a leek at the bottle connection. Closer inspection proved a simple issue of no rubber washer on the regulator.

is there any experience in the group of where to source a replacement? A standard ‘flat’ washer doesn’t create a seal as there’s a ridge in the connecting housing.

Doubt you'll find a replacement, new regulator is only about a tenner

Are you talking about the connection between the valve and the bottle, or the valve and the regulator. Either way see below.

https://vwcaliforniaclub.com/shop/product/genuine-gok-gas-hose-seal-kit - this'll get you a regulator seal but it's a kit with the hose etc.

I'm pretty sure it's a 10 x 3.5mm Nitrile O'Ring - fairly common, I think they're the same size as scuba bottle O'Rings - will have to remind myself to check.

The cylinder gasket you should be able to get from your gas bottle stockist, that's 26mm OD x 14mm ID x 1.5mm t.
