Has anyone fitted roof rails to their MP

I have struggled to find any in the UK that actually fit the ones that my local Mercedes-benz garage say you need don't fit. I have found a company in Germany that are the right ones but the don't ship because of the size. So we may be going to Germany for a long weekend and getting them fitted whilst we are there. Have you found any in UK?

Yes. It’s actually easy if you don’t speak to dealers. They don’t know much about these vehicles. I used a brilliant guy in harrogate called harrogate trailers and towbar centre. He fitted me either westfalia or Thule. Work a treat.

They also sell roof bars for the rails.

The club shop, campervan bits, sells the thule roof rack system if you just want a roof rack. I bought Thule 3 kit system through them and it was simple enough to install.

Thanks for the Info on the Thule, already looked at the ones from Germany. They don't ship to UK, if you want them you have to go and get them.

I’ve just sold my MP. Bought the Thule kit for it about 8mths ago which worked a treat. Kept the kit as may buy another MP in a few years but not sure.

that’s the kit on the car. It’s now off, like new, will try and take some pics of the kit tomorrow

Steeve,

It has a base plate that slides into the track, yes you can put it anywhere along the track. Took me about 15-20mins first time around to put them on. Was very straightforward and feels very sturdy with very little noise.
