Roof rails dimples

Haven’t realized that before having opportunity to see roof of my MP from a ramp where I parked down. There are series of small shallow dimples in line along both roof rails as you can see at picture, my dealer told me that it is at all MP roofs. Have You got the same dimples at your roof? Thanks

Trying again, does anyone realized dimples by the roof rails ? It is significant while sharp angle of light (low sun shine)
can’t believe that is as designed by german enginners

I just checked my roof, l have nothing like that , just a stud either side where your single dimples are . Probably a fixing stud for roof liner ,

Looks like you have a sunroof, which is not an option in th UK. My guess, as they are symmetrical, they are somehing to do with the installation of that.
PS Just checked my roof for blisters before putting away for the winter - none so far.

Thanks for your feedback guys, yes it has something to do with probably with roof liner
the first answer from MP dealer was unofficial without reporting to MB, so will try official procedure
the roof window is from MB actualy Webasto product, it works very well with back side windows for nice air ventilation inside

I think the double studs are for the horizon roof locks, it’s a manual roof on the horizon

Sounds logical. Envious of the sunroof caMPike.

I made an inspection by MB dealer and have seen another 2 MPs and both have similary roof surface. It is very hard to see it, depending on specific view and light angle. Doesn’t concerns the studs next to window but area marked yellow. It looks like that all MPs have that on roof just few owners realized that.

This is in the fibre glass. Poor quality mould / cast.
Spraying preparation would not resolve it
