The multimedia display screen in our 2017 MP has turned itself off. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution to reset ?

Have you checked the fuse box at the front of the passenger footwell?

I am up in Scotland on holiday when it happened so will wait to check this on my return. I am assuming it is not too difficult to access the fuse box.

No tools needed - it's just a large plastic box kept closed with two clips on the right side (on LHD vans at least).

If it's the screen itself thats badly plugged or broken, it's also easy to remove. The plastic part behind the screen has two small rectangular holes: find a hook or something similar to pull the part up using those holes while using something as a lever around the part, and it will pop up.
(only one hole visible in the photo below, I've added some USB sockets there). After you remove that plastic part, two screws hold the display and its electronics module in place: unscrew those, and the display slides towards you with ease.

This happened to me. I was slightly embarrassed to find the on/off button between the volume roller adjuster and the side door opener button on the central console
