MP Diesel Air Heater Issue

For a few months now the air heater of my MP hasn't worked properly. It still can blow air out, but it cannot get HOT air out. I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem before? I am trying to find a decent mechanics around Leeds that can have a look at it, but every single person I have asked so far doesn't seem to have any idea of what I am talking about.

Sorry if this is obvious to you, but have you got the heater temperature setting on higher than the ambient temperatures?

Hi Katie

Thank for your suggestion . Yes I have. The heater has been working perfectly for the past 13 years, it's been recently since I have notice this fault.

Another thing to point out is that the air that comes out stinks of diesel, so much that is almost unbearable. I am thinking that the fault could be something to do with the burner, but of course this is just a guess.
