Mattress/topper

Hi and welcome,

There are bespoke mattresses available for a custom fit for both the upstairs and downstairs beds (do a search of this forum as I can't recall the brand names). However, we just bought mattress toppers from John Lewis for both and they have been fine. Comfortable, easy to make up, packaway relatively small and cheaper too.
 
There are just the two of us nowadays. We use the lower bed and simply transfer the topper from the upper bed.
It’s easy enough to do. It fits perfectly and is very comfortable. During the day we just roll it up and store it in the boot.
Saves buying anything else and less to cart around.
 
Best combination we have found is Duvalay 2.5 cm plus Devon Duvet wool topper. Great improvement in comfort, and don't take up too much space as they can each be folded up and stored in a cotton bag.
