I have difficulty in adding my wife to the insurance as she is over 80

Thanks for that. The other thing that I have noticed on the V5 of the MP that we are buying is that it is listed as a Diesel Car. Insurers do not like it. Any thoughts?

There has been much concern regarding the listing of M.P. for insurance purposes. I suggest you check the thread for the latest info. Some members seem very informed. We have our M.P. shown as a diesel car too and our current premium is £835 p.a. I hope that helps

Thanks Pete. It helps in providing an answer but I still need a solution which does appear to get it shown as a Camper Van which is what it is.

Try Comfort Insurance or AIB Insurance, they are specialist in Motorhome insurance. Many companies are reluctant to insure unless the classification is changed, these two will insure without changes to the V5. Explain the situation and they will still insure you as a camper van with the camping contents etc covered even though the MP is classed as a MPV. Good luck
