I'm in!

Hi all
We bought the showroom model from Arnold Clark MB in Perth.
I have to say they have been great throughout the process.
They have set up an account with Westfalia and ordered some accessories for me.
250 Sport in Black.
I did change the silver awning for a black one, much more chic!
Silver one is available for sale. Pm for details.
We had our first trip away last week, touring Scotland. Loved it!
A rally next year sounds great.

Did you fit the new awning or your dealer? Im still waiting for my dealer to fit mine and I'm getting impatient. They've never fitted one before and seem to be taking forever.

The van came from the factory with the silver awning fitted. I merely unbolted the cassette from the brackets and swapped it for the new black one.
I would suggest getting a caravan/motorhome workshop to fit it.
The brackets are bolted through the bodywork. Having said that, check re warranty with MB.
Good luck!
P.s. lots of vids on YouTube showing awnings being fitted to motorhome by experts.
Looks straightforward, then it always does!

Don't know who fitted mine but being a factory fitted option I can only assume it was done at the factory or at least prepared to the point where the dealer could just bolt into place.

Oh! And beware when opening the awning after the dealer.
The legs had not been stowed correctly, and fell out when I opened it!
Slight scratch on bodywork to be repaired by dealer.
In their defence, instructions could have been clearer.

Nice, I have a Cavansite Blue MP and I also think the awning would look nicer if it was colour matched. I was considering getting it sprayed or exploring if it is possible to get it wrapped, Anyone have any ideas re this?
There are lots of good vehicle wrapping outfits around. have had great success with motorcycle accessories.
