First time motor home buyer looking for advice on second hand Marco Polo

I have been looking for a few months now and think the Marco Polo looks great. Can you advise please about older vehicles?

What were the design flaws in the older models?

What tends to go wrong with these?

What do you need to look out for if buying an older one?

What would you see as high mileage?

How expensive is the upkeep?

How much of a problem is LHD?

How difficult is it to get an older fridge/ heating system checked out?

And also- is it better to get a newer model with higher mileage or an older model with lower mileage?

How do you advise approaching the valuation? Is there a guide for motor homes as there are for cars?

I usually get the AA to check over a car before I buy- or go to a dealer I know well. Does the AA check motor homes or is there another organisation I can ask?
