Extra heating device

Hello
I bought a new Marco Polo Horizon last summer in Greece with the extra heating device when the Van is stopped. I can’t function this device properly and even the authority Mercedes dealer can’t help me .
Can you help how to use this heating device when the Van is switched off during the night?
