My girlfriend and I are currently traveling in the Channel Islands, heading to the UK shortly.
It's quite cool outside and we're generating a lot of condensation inside our brand new 2023 MP.
The condensation on the windows we can manage, and I will look at implementing the outside covers as mentioned in another post on this topic.
My problem is we're getting condensation on the rear window, where the digital rear view mirror camera is located.
It seems to me it may be partially sealed (if that's something you can say), as the humidity goes in, but doesn't get out
It doesn't seem to dry out, regardless of whether I heat up the window.
I've tried to dislodge the plastic cover and get access, but I don't want to break anything.
My questions:
- Do you have tips on how to expose the camera so I can at least wipe the glass and use the digital mirror?
- Do you think this is something Mercedes should/would fix for me as the van is still under warranty? (I am still waiting on an answer from them about this)
