Cruise control, ESP and ABS spontaneous failures.

Has anyone experienced their cruise control dropping out along with warning lights that the ESP and ABS also don't work?
I experience this after a couple of hours driving. I solve it (temporarily) by stopping, shutting off the motor and then continuing (For another hour or two).
My friend whom is a mechanic says it's typical Mercedes Benz problem. I have a 2004 Viano XL. I was thinking of going to the Mercedes dealership but thought I'd share this with you all. Any feedback is welcome.

Ps my wife says it's a feature that tells you to take a break from driving.

Thanks, I noticed it's worse when it's warm. I'll take a look at the connection and see if my friends computer analyzer can see which one.
