Cooking in Marco Polo

Hi, my friend mentioned to me about cooking something greasy like bacon. What happens to the the roof above the cooker? I thought fair point and wondered if anyone has any advice to protect the upholstery from grease? Thanks In advance.

Don't know about protecting the upholstery ( I would normally cook bacon on the bbq out of the van!) but I also have one of these https://vwcaliforniaclub.com/shop/product/ridgemonkey-deep-fill-sandwich-toaster-xl which works well when cooking bacon, eggs etc.
