Battery warning light showing(red)- emergency

Hi all, in Spain and battery warning (red) display has come on. It’s advising stopping immediately, and consult specialists workshop. Book says it could be: faulty alternator,torn poly v belt,electronic malfunction
When we arrived in Spain we had to get an ABS sensor replaced, not sure if it’s related
Any ideas?
