Servicing

Going round in circles with MB customer services. I'm looking for a servicing centre near me (Somerset/Dorset border) who specialise in the MP - I've spoken to a few centres who haven't even heard of the MP - the problem seems to be that it is falling between a car and a van therefore different departments. I wanted to stake my warranty claim for blistering of the roof (I've heard that MB are not dealing with this at the moment and are looking into a different approach to the issue!). Also, I wanted to have a diesel heater retro-fitted. I have been in contact with an independent garage who are Eberspacher approved dealers but they haven't fitted one on a MP before so we have to take in in for a looksie (annoying as it's about an hour drive away) Any ideas, please?

Not sure I understand. Why not use your nearest MB dealership?
The problem is that not all MB dealerships are familiar with the MP. From my conversation with a MB service dealership, the guy hadn't even heard of the MP and though he thought it wouldn't be possible for MB to fit a heater (which could be correct). I think I'd rather go somewhere that has worked on a MP before so they know what they are doing.

I suspect that for the retrospective fitting of the heater you would have to go third party but for all other servicing or warranty tasks a main dealer should definitely recognise an MP. It's a car, not a commercial. They wouldn't have an issue of it was a sales enquiry I'm sure.
I'm pretty sure there have been others on this forum who went down the Eberspacher retrofit route so may be worth a trawl through the archives

Yes looks like I'll be using a third party for the heater and will look into a normal main dealer for servicing. Thanks
