Night heater adblue tank issues

Hi everyone,

New member. First Post. Please help

Wonder if you can tell me where managed to do the retrofit with the adblue tank being under the passenger side (uk).

I have now taken her to 2 garages and had it off the road to be told 2 days later that they can't figure out a way to do it on 2019 plus vehicles as they adblue is in the way!

I'm desperate to get this fitted and go on adventures but I'm west central Scotland and don't fancy the nights without a heater and 2 kids.

Hi Steph, welcome to the forum and MP ownership. My 2019 220d had the larger 25litre AdBlue tank which doesn't prevent you getting a heater fitted. There is a kit supplied either by Webasto or Eberspacher and I was quoted £1600-ish to fit by Tim Purslow (Merc specialists) in Basingstoke - it does take a day or 2. The larger tank requires a bit more insulation and fiddling but it fits safely. I didn't get one installed in the end because I decided to buy new. Had I kept, it would have been done. https://www.timpurslow.co.uk/

There are some threads on heater installation if you search.

Just spotted that you're in W Scotland - am sure that Purslows would be able to advise on the kit and also on installation.

Thank you. I'm going to contact TP and maybe make a wee weekend of a trip down as I'm not having much luck up here

Will give them a call tomorrow and see if they have any advice.
