Hello together,
i have owned a Marco Polo for the past years. Love Marco Polo, the internet, (more or less sport) etc like Tubes, Top Videos, Xtube and xvideos kostenlos. Wish a nice day Thinking of changing and have just come across this forum so will be very interested to see how you are all getting on with the V-class MP.

Welcome; can't speak for others but ours is great, works well enough as a camper but very good to drive. Plenty on here, important threads around the heater confusion, roof blisters and top mattress.

Hi and welcome.

Steve B has directed you to important threads which highlight problems for some owners which have not been helped by the low numbers of vehicles in the UK and lack of dealer knowledge.

The MP works well as a camper although the plush interior is a little delicate if you are intending rough use. Floors and glass tops can scratch relatively easily.

Some people get rid of the suspended storage arrangement the rear and/or the Mercedes chairs and come up with more flexible arrangements to suit their needs. From memory the chairs are an expensive option if buying in Europe and there are cheaper more comfortable folding chairs from camper specialists that are easier to stow. You will find threads on here.

It’s relaxing and smooth to drive although the OM651 engine is a little harsh when pressed - but hey it’s a camper ! No doubt the new OM654 engine and 9 speed gearbox will be more refined. I have yet to drive one for comparison.

Unfortunately four wheel drive (4matic) is not available in the UK. It certainly would have been an option I would have considered. However, I understand that this results in a slightly larger turning circle which might make parking more difficult.

Good luck if you are thinking of changing. Keep us posted.

Hi - I'm planning to purchase a camper van in the next 12 to 18 months and I really like the MP (more so than its obvious rival).

I have 2 x 2 year old daughters and I see the purchase of a camper van as something that we'll enjoy as a family for the next 10 years or so. It's obviously a big purchase. The following couple of sentences hasn't put me off the MP but I'm a little concerned that a nice plush vehicle could start to look very tired very quickly.

"The MP works well as a camper although the plush interior is a little delicate if you are intending rough use. Floors and glass tops can scratch relatively easily. "

This might not be such an issue if we were just two adults but I'm factoring in my two ankle biters! :)

Is the MP interior sufficiently robust to stand the test of time (in this case 10 years)? Appreciate any thoughts and experiences.

I've just driven an E220d hire car with the OM654 and 9sp gearbox and over 140 miles of virtually all motorway driving achieved 68.9 mpg. We won't get that from an MP but I'm hopeful that there will be a useful improvement. As a matter of interest the top gear only kicked in at 75mph.

Hope that didn’t kick off the speed cameras ;)

I've got new E220d as a hire car since 30th August as my Audi had a punctured radiator. I do 250 miles most days on the M1 and get over 65mpg in comfort mode, as you say it stays in 8th for a long time. The engine sounds quite gruff though, but pulls well.

Sorry to hear the 4Matic is not available in the UK! After driving Audis and Volvos I'll not be without AWD again. Luckily our "demo" is a 4Matic. And, it turns tighter than my Volvo XC-90 did! The 360 camera makes parking and maneuvering easy. Have not tried the self-parking feature yet . . .

We too fell for the MP over it's "obvious rival" for all the refinements. We've got two adult German Shepherds as our "current kids." I put down a cheap, rubber backed rug in the cabin to avoid scratches, keep them from slipping and keep them from damaging claws in the track system. I've put a cloth seat cover (from a pet store) on the back bench, it has slots for the seatbelts and loops around the headrests. I saw one gentleman on here had put non-slip rubber mats on his glass countertops to protect and keep things from sliding. I find the vehicle overall cleans up nicely and easily. I've lined all the cabinets and drawers with same. All the best with your future purchase.

Thank you KDM. Will definitely keep your post for future reference. Sound advice.
