image size

I am trying to upload images to this site but it keeps telling me the image is too large. Can someone please tell me what size the image needs to be please?

Download a file size reducer from app store / play store and set to 1000kb that's what I did works great

Or use Windows' Snipping Tool and "save as" a JPEG. Many cellphone cameras use the PNG format which can be much larger.
