Floor Runner Damage

As per the picture, has anyone had the same damage to the rubber strip on the floor runner? It's from shifting stuff and general use. Looked in history and can't find anything, was wondering if there is a simple fix (doubt it though)

Looks bad but it slots back in really easily. Gently push it back into the groove in the moulding an inch at a time. 5 minute job but get it nice and clean first
